glitteryvLoossemble is a 5-member group (comprised of LOONA members) that debuted mid-September of this year. Everything from their sound to the promo rollout to (most importantly) the connection to LOONA had literally made me a fan.
I sort of mentioned it on my post abt Chuu, but I'm gonna go a smidgen more into detail. So, after all of the LOONA members were FREED FROM BBC'S CLUTCHES (huzzah!), all of the members ended up signing with different agencies. There's Chuu and Yves who are soloists, Odd Eye Circle (a trio), ARTMS (another quintent), and Loossemble. Which, like, in another time or another world, it would've meant the end of LOONA.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE HERE!
Instead of moving on from LOONA, all of the members still consider themselves as part of LOONA. They've been referencing (to the point of adding new) bits of LOONA lore. Granted, I don't know much abt it, but I've seen enough to make the connections. Also, all of the members have attended each other's concerts, performed each other's songs, etc. In Loossemble's case, frex, the first song on their self-titled EP is called "Intro: Searching for their friends." Technically speaking, Loossemble IS a portmanteau of LOONA and Assemble so...there's that. :DDDD
Their lead single "Sensitive" is a song abt forging your own path by trusting your instincts. It's a BOP and then some:
I really like all the moon-related imagery, the Easter eggs of the number 12 (the number of LOONA members), and the entirety of the MV's scene--which not only is movie-like but also dreamy and tender IN SPACE. (As I understand it, Vivi (the woman in black) is an android in the LOONA lore, frex.) Also, yes, there ARE 12 sleep pods. I just, wow, there's budget PLUS a fantastic storyline!!!
fifizappa is one of my fave YouTube reaction channels. They (I don't know fifizappa's pronouns) tend to focus a ton on production and are, imo, one of the few reactors who will give balanced opinions. Unlike reactors who LOVE everything. Anyways, I often feel like I'm not good enough at expressing my opinions on music, so I'm linking to fifizappa's commentary abt this song as my thoughts and impressions on "Sensitive" as well as Loossemble do align with theirs.
