Fannish 50 Post 17: BTS and conversations with people
Given that, like most ARMYs, I see this month as an extended FESTA (or, you know, as a Boramonth), I knew I wanted to do at least 10 posts abt BTS. So, the theme for June will be BTS Interviews. FTR, I don't exactly mean the guys sitting down with a journalist to answer some of the same questions they've been given through their now TEN YEAR CAREER (🥳). Instead, I'm going to place the spotlight on several instances where the group or an individual member engage in conversations of all kinds. FTR, v. few of them will be serious in nature. So I doubt there will be any deep analysis and/or assumptions and/or interpretations of stuff they say.
So, Lee Hyun is the oldest active idol in HYBE's roster (signing with BigHit in 2007.) FTR, I don't really follow his careet (don't know anything abt it other than he started as part of a duet but has been a solo artist for a few years now.). He has his own YouTube channel in which he uploads all kinds of videos.
Back in 2021, he did a 2-part video in which he is the newest manager in charge of BTS for a whole day, LOL. This is a v. fun episode. For starters, BTS and Lee Hyun have a close friendship AND BTS also loves to roleplay. In addition, there's a bit of behind-the-curtain aspect to the episode. The day begins with Lee Hyun and the senior manager picking BTS members up, getting ready for interviews, and (in part 2) helping them with a recording for a TV show.
My fave part here is around 6:07, when they're getting ready to do interviews. We find out that all bottles get numbered (cuz each member has an assigned number based on age. So, Jin will always be no.1 and Jungkook will always be no.7).
The second part
The loveliest moment (imo) is around 8:50. Lee Hyun has to go wake up Taehyung to get ready for the second recording. Their friendship is palpable and cute. :D
